Can the 3DR uBlox GPS with Compass Kit be used on the APM 2.5 or do you have to use a 2.6?

You can use the 3DR GPS/Compass module with the APM2.5. You will have to disable the APM2.5 onboard compass to use the GPS/Compass module: http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-external-magnetometer-for-i...

This is how to connect the GPS/Compass module to the APM2.5:http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-installing-3dr-ublox-gps-co... I know that the Wiki is showing a picture of an APM2.6, but the GPS and compass connections are the same for the APM2.5.

I have one of the new 3DR GPS/Compass modules working with an APM2.5 on one of my Slash rovers and have had no problems with either GPS reception or compass calibration and accuracy. Go for it.

By the way, you might want to put a small aluminum ground plane under the module to help improve satellite reception.
