Well I know after reading a bit of what you have been talking with all the people on this forum that you may don't really like my answer, but your ground station have to be specifically tailored to the type of equipment you are using.. My GCS is a bit simple and complex at the same time! after have been doing this for such a long time, for me, only take me a bout 3 or 4 min to be ready to use! I use an AAT automatic antenna tracker! but that is more in the area or reliability.. and strong video signal,
I saw in a few answers that you where talking about using android applications.. and yeah you can of/course build a controlled high power CC "MacroNetwork" that allow you to use only once single WiFi signal to deal with everything at once!! but you limit your self to a seriously short range.. So if you specify the type of aircraft that you plan to use, the frequency that you have available, (Individual Frequency for radio, camera, Video TX & RX) perhaps the people here can help you to make a much more educated decision on your endeavor!

im sorry that i write again ;-) but i see that everyone put pictures and i dont made it :D my appologise for thread owner ;-)
So: we make now NEW GSC software WOD GSC. WOD is project what will present later , but even with out WOD this software will realy usefull . now we are in stage when we will happy for EVERY IDEAS and INVENTIONS ;-)
so its great time to every one , say hims wishs in this level of develope. So please, EVERYONE who miss some features in other GSC softwares, just let us know in our thread ;-) we will check if is possible ipmplant it in frame of our target.
our GSC is concentrate to FPV but will also FULL WORKING without fpv equipment, and in the plan ( thanks to one local user ) is also synthetic vision . so even drones with out FPV equipment will able FPV flying ;-) so please EVERYONE who think that got some idea, COME ON, every idea is welcome ;-)

For me I use both fixed wing and multirotors, mainly for survey work with a little FPV mixed in.
I use mission planner for setup, tuning and configuration because it simply does everything. I use my own android based CloudRaven GCS for flight ops because it's simple to use and gets me flying very quickly.
Main features of mission planner I use are the parameters page and log replay and analysis.
On CloudRaven it's mission creation, flight monitoring and post flight geotagging which is all super easy. Also when used with a smart camera, the inflight image download is good.
Best thing about mission planner is it does everything, it's the swiss army knife of GCSs, worst is the general stability and the fact that each new release is two steps forward, one step back with regards to bugs.
For CloudRaven, it suits my and my customers needs well but I'm biased :-). Downside is developing it consumes huge amounts of my time.
im using MP but not to much happy ;-) so i decide make new GSC ;-) is now in very early state, but going front ;-)
so i please all users, please watch our discusion and please write me some your opinion ;-) Every opinion will help us make it better ;-)

now we finished alfa version of HUD system, so i will reraly aprisiate opinions on that ;-)
Drone: Fixed wing mapping/surveying
GCS: Mission Planner. Why? lack of other options?
Features: Setup, planning and flight monitoring, post-flight review.
Flight planning interface is not very intuitive, but works ok once you get used to it.
Worst is the log-analyzer, "hidden tools" (Ctrl F).
Set-up can be complicated, but it's more an indication of the complexity of the flight controller (Pixhawk) than the software.
We should have made it clear in the initial post that we were inquiring about GCS Software, not hardware. I would appreciate your help to not hijack this post and to stay on the topic of which GCS software you use and please answer the questions that Beatriz has asked.
