Adding extra functions to MinimOSD

I have started to add functions to MinimOsd code.

At first i did it for myself only. Added many functions i thought i need. Then opened this thread.

after a while, Pedro and later Miguel came, and things started to happen fast. :D

They have optimised the code and added even more things to it.

They have worked hard on CT, and it became a great tool!

By now MinimOSD-Extra got a pretty advanced OSD.

Here it is in action:

Added:

- Changeable unit measurement (US, metric)

- Airspeed

- Home alt

- Battery Percent

- Battery used mah

- Current Draw

- Time From Startup (cleared at takeoff to show exact flight time)

- OSD Menu

- Variometer

- Wind horizontal speed and direction, and also the average wind speed of the last few minutes. 

- OSD on/off

- Switchable secound screen

- WP distance

- WP heading

- Crosstrack error

- Warning messages for Lost GPS fix, Stall, Overspeed, battery volt, battery Percent, RSSI

- Efficiency, glide distance & thermic notifier. 3 in one panel

- OSD Brightness

- HAM Call Sign

- After flight summary

- Trip distance

- Temperature

- Smoothened horizon

- Real heading

- RSSI

- Vertical speed

This functions can be turned on and off, and placed on different screens now, by the Config. tool.

Also RSSI, switching mode and channel and unit measurement, Stall speed warning, Overspeed warning, Battery warning volt, Battery percent warning, RSSI warning,  can be set in new Config Tool.

We built in a new way of setting video standards. Now OSD does not guessing anymore :). You can set it fixed from CT. It is in "Video Mode" menu.

CT is included. (The FW for Plane, Copter, Character upload and the character file is in the "FW & Char" directory inside CT directory)

    It looks like there is used also only rough characters positioning of the cursor.

    I have great news for you. The creator the CharTool has visited my thread and is very pleased that his long forgotten code is being used by us. He agreed to do a major overhaul of the tool. Please visit the thread and tell him if you have any requests:

    There is a new version for Arduplane 2.75 in downloads.

    Temperature data was changed by APM dev team, so i followed.

    Ok, I updated my character set but this still remains. Any ideas?

    Edit: I reset to defaults and selected only one item to show and it seems to have fixed the issue. If it comes back as I add items I will post back.

    Just want to say thanks, had a good flight over the weekend, I have the OSD overlaid. Gave me the confidence to take some chances :)

    Miguel was so fast on CT, that i had to work on FW to keep my word. :D

    I was so tired, that could not even sit, but think it is ready now.

    It is in source.

    Could someone try?

    Is it possible to encode the ezuhf solution mentioned below into the (next) beta to read pwm low and high and setup low and high values and channel to read through the ct tool?

    Hello All,

    I have asked this before but did not get any answer.

    I am using APM 2.5, FW 2.74b, with minimosd r693.

    Everything looks to be OK, but it happens quite often that when I am switching to RTL, OSD's overlay goes away for good and only recycling main power I get minimosd to show data again. trying to toggle screens from radio channel does not work.

    I have no clue what can cause this and if any of you guys is having the same issue.

    I will be grateful for any information you guys can give me.  I am powering my minimod only from APM digital end. e.g  5V.
