I have just received my MTK GPS to add GPS capabilities to my quadcopter. I connected MTK board to APM GPS board and uploaded the GPS_MTK_test program. Serial monitor read all the values zero..
GPS MTK library test
GPS: Lat:0 Lon:0 Alt:0.00 GSP:0.00 COG:0 SAT:0 FIX:0 TIM:0
GPS: Lat:0 Lon:0 Alt:0.00 GSP:0.00 COG:0 SAT:0 FIX:0 TIM:0
GPS: Lat:0 Lon:0 Alt:0.00 GSP:0.00 COG:0 SAT:0 FIX:0 TIM:0
....
The blue led on the MTK board blinked at the beginning and is now on continuously. What is the problem with the GPS?

most likely your MTK is in NMEA mode (you can check with the GPS_NMEA_test program) and if you want to use it in binary mode you need to tell it to switch. Check the page that is linked to from the store on the MTK page or search the forum (I remember at least one thread about that).
Apparently also the change is not stored permanently so basically one needs to do that every time on startup (at least this is the case for mine).
