APM Misson planner (Mac)

So I own a QRX 350 pro. I have downloaded APM mission planner.

Can somebody give me step by step instructions on how to set up my quad so I can both use it as a ground station and use it for way point missions.

Thanks, Berkd001.

  •  I really would like to help you but I get the sense that you really aren't that committed to figuring this out. I'll give you one final tip: If you don't want to read, you can watch some YouTube videos:  https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=apm+mission+planner+wa...

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
  • If you want to control it in flight, you are going to need either a telemetry radio or some kind of wireless link between your UAV and Mac.  The easiest is telemetry radios but i have no idea if the QRX350 can support it.  I suggest you do some reading about the specs of your UAV.

But, if all you want to do is plan a mission and then fire it off in flight.   You can usually pre-program the waypoints and then load the mission onto the UAV.   Setting it into "AUTO" mode will trigger the UAV to carry out the mission. I have no idea if you UAV supports this or if this is possible.  Assuming you have APM loaded on the flight controller, it should be possible.

I think you really need to do some reading. It really does'nt matter that you are on a MAC. The links presented earlier in this thread should give you all the information.

  • It might be easier to help you if you describe the issue you are having.
Are you having issues installing the software on your mac?
Is it connecting to your copter?

Does your UAV even support APM? Perhaps that is the root of your problem? You'll need a UAV that has the APM firmware installed.

  • Then use APM Planner or QGroundControl, everything else is the same.
