I have an APM2 that I was playing with a year ago or so. I would hook up a battery and log my commute then watch it on Google Earth. That was with Arduplane 2.5. I decided to get it back out and use it on a tricopter. I installed the latest Mission Planner. The GPS doesn't seem to try to work. I have tried the lates Arduplane and ArduCopter. Has something changed? Do I need to add a compass or something? I will try to find Arduplane 2.5 and see if that works but thought I'd ask here too. I don't need long answers, just some ideas on where to search. Thanks much!

After removing the memory card and resoldering a bad 10K ohm resistor connection, the GPS is working again. Do I need to add a compass to my APM2.0 for best performance? I have seen statements that you must use a compass but not sure if that is for APM2.0, APM2.5, or both. Thanks
Use a volt meter and measure the input pins voltage?
