ArduPilot as flight control augmentation?

Hi all,Has anyone use ArduPilot only as flight control augmentation (fly by wire) only? i.e. all control will still be commanded by the RC transmitter but the autopilot is there for stability, etc..ThanksRyan

    it's not really for high speed but mostly for high alpha thrust vectoring aerobatic.

    I see - the plan was to program one up in my Sukhoi 33 turbine jet to be fully augmented by the autopilot yet still RC :)

    yes but FMA is not sophisticated enough to handle mixes like slats, carnard, etc

    What you're describing is handled very well by the FMA Co-Pilot. No need to complicate it by adding a full autopilot.
