Copter rolls left

Hey folks.

Can anyone help with this one? In the mission planner, the artificial horizon says the copter is level. I have done two auto levels in my basement but the copter still tries to fly to the left at a fairly high rate. I have to give it something like 10% right continuously to keep it in place.

I have done ESC calibrations several times and just installed 2.1. It did do this with 2.0.55 as well.

Cheers.

Brian

  • Brian,

Does it do this if you take the tape off of the trim and center it?

  • When you say that you've done two auto levels in the basement, what exactly do you mean? Did you level using the 'hold yaw left 10 seconds' or did you use 'in-flight leveling' (hold yaw right for 20 seconds)?

Also, have you checked your center of gravity (although this shouldn't be as much of an issue with 2.0.55 and 2.1)?

Are you sure your trims on your transmitter are centered? Are you sure your transmitter is not sending a roll signal to the receiver (my Turnigy 9x would send yaw left when centered until I cleaned up some stray solder)?
