Create Waypoints While In The Air

I currently run a DJI Phantom 2 Vision, Zenmuse H3-3D Gimbal ,DJI iOSD Mini – OSD, with, Naza II, 5.8GHz 32CH A/V 600mW Transmitter (TS832) with ground station monitor.  What I would like to do is fly to a certain spot on a construction site to take a picture and while I’m there, mark a waypoint so a month later I can fly to the exact same spot for another picture.  Does anyone have any suggestions on the hardware, and/or software that I would need to do this?  I have a Macbook Air, iPad, and iPhone 6.  Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

    Save WP:

Save the current location (including altitude) as a waypoint in the mission. If in AUTO mode no waypoint will be saved, instead the vehicle will RTL
    • Sorry Half asleep. I misread your initial comment about using DJI. I have used the simple but powerful Ipad Ground station and there is an option to save your flight plan and create favorites. I have used this for that reason to come back and get comparison shots months later.

      • Thank you so much for your reply.  Sorry for my ignorance, quick question, does the iPad communicate with the DJI in real time?  How do I get the information from Phantom to the ground station, and then back to the Phantom.  As of now, my ground station receives video signal and OSD information.  Thanks for your time.
