Delay in Servo Actuation using Ardupilot Mega

hi,I'm using an Ardupilot Mega and the IMU Shield Oilpan for my Autopilot System. After the initial setup using the Command Line Interpreter, I'm having a problem with the servos in that, when I put the Ardupilot Mega in Flight Mode and move the RC Sticks, there seems to be a delay of 5 seconds before the Servos start to move! However, there is no such delay in the TEST mode. I'm unable to sort out the problem. Please HELP!

  • Hi,

Can you check your CPU usage ? I had problem using xplane where the the proxy+xplane where eating up all my machine and indeed RC input were delayed. I am killing google earth background everytime now.

Try stabilize mode as well in real life without Xplane.Should work better.

What version of the software are you using?

What flight mode are you in? There should be no delay in hardware manual. If you haven't achieved GPS lock yet, behavior in auto modes is indeterminate (because you shouldn't be flying if you don't have GPS lock)

  • Faced the same issue. But really strange that yesterday I was using APM without any delays, and today -bang! troubles came by...

Also throttle stick doesn't have response on throttle servo until it is move more than a halfway up. If less - then it stays zero. In CLI test it works nice and smooth. Recalibrated a few times - no change.
