Does any one already succesfully feed the APM1 with the PPM Sum Signal? It would save space, connectors and potential failure?

If you have the APM 2 board, there is a section for it in the wiki as well.
Yes it does work if you have a recent APM 1.4, or if you updtated the PPM encoder firmware with the ArduPPM version available in the downloads section.
It should works with most standard PPM Sum streams. I've tested it with a Jeti receiver, but other users did have sucessfull results with other receivers.
