I want to be able to trigger my prism switch to trigger my pentax camera. Does Ardupilot have any type of trigger function?

Not built in, but it's super easy to add (just one or two lines of code, depending on what you want--setting a digital pin high or outputting PWM). For the prism, I think you'd output PWM and could use the servo lib.
