We have had our quad copter flying for just over a week and were just getting it flying good. I was flying it last night in my back yard (I have a big back yard)thing were going great. I was just practicing hovering when a giant crow came flying from around the side of my house at mach 3 and clipped one of the propellers. It happened so fast I couldn't even think. One of the prop blades broke off and I should have just done a hard landing but I tried to take it down easy. It of course leaned to one side (wolbing like crazy) and took off like a rocket hitting my house about 30-40 feet way. This whole thing happened in about 4 seconds. I used to be a real helicopter pilot and use to worry about bird strikes all the time, never even crossed my mind about it happening with the quad copter.
The sad thing is I have been trying to shoot that stupid crow with a pellet gun for about two weeks, he has been driving me crazy. The crow survived and was making all kinds of racket like normal. The copter was not so lucky, broke arm, and 4 destroyed props.
Pretty funny now when I think about and I just had to share makes for a great story!

Haha. I've been tempted to make the mocking birds in the tree next to my bedroom window curious enough to play w/ the blades on my quadcopter... but they usually shut up and go deeper in the tree.
