I've been pinned down by this issue for a while now and I have search diydrones for any answers but none have helped. Every time I connect the ESC's to the APM the motor's beep and twitch every ~< 0.5s. I'm using a massive ESC from hobbyking and motor. Everything has already been manually calibrated and double checked. I've tried everything to diagnose this issue, including banging my head against the table. So far, I have...
- Calibrated the ESC. The ESC works alone without the APM.
- Checked if the APM works with a different ESC. It does (I can't use this other ESC because it's not mine).
- Used JP1 to power the output and use only the signal wire for the ESC.
- Reduced the throttle trim to -50% and recalibrated ESC
- Reinstalled firmware on the APM.
- Lowered the switching frequency for the ESC.
- Restored the ESC to factory reset.
- Changed some of PWM parameters for the output.
So, it seems like this particular ESC is doing it's own thing and not communicating with the APM. Does anyone else have any ideas as to what's going on?
