Hey guys i have a few problems with the external compass settings.
It always says Compass variance in the misshion planner.
Compass 1: Use this compass (check)
Externally mounted (check)
None rotation (check)
Compass 2 etc are unchecked....so the way i understand it now is, that i just use the external mounted compass on my GPS platform and not the internal one of the Pixhawk Flightcontroller. But still when i move the Copter the mission planner shows the heading but if i just rotate the GPS/Compass platform (still plugged of course) without moving the copter, the mission planner doesnt show me a change in heading.
I m really confused about that and i hope someone can help me with this issue!
Mission planner 1.3.34
APM: Copter V3.3.2
Pixhawk Flightcontroller

Thanks so much!!

in mission planner----compass cal, up at top you will see choices---Pixhawk/px4---apm 2.5(internal compass--and apm(external compass) just press the one you have, and it will automatically set all of those things for you. Hope this helps. As long as you are using the exteral mounted compass, just press pixhawk and it will set all for you. You can check this by pressing another, and wstch the boxes that are checked change. just put it back to pixhawk before calibrating.Frank.
