fail firmware update please help!

I updated to the latest firmware and it said it was done but it must have failed, I can no longer connect to my apm2.5 via usb or wireless link. the motors make a  'beee beep' nosie and randomly spin up a little. the red and orange lights up near the barro just blink constantly..... what can I do? can I use adruino IDE to push the firmware on? please help.

    Oh nice good to know. Just one question how can I roll back to 2.9.1b if I can't connect to my APM board? Thanks

    Same thing happened to me. "No Heatbeat" errors. Weird throttle errors. USB port disappearing all together. I checked my USB driver and it looked ok. Reinstalled MP and still no joy. It was really weird.

    In frustration, I went back to 2.9.1b and was able to connect and all worked as normal. Still not giving up I, finally got a clean 3.0 install by going into Terminal in Mission Planner and performing an "erase" eeprom. Everything works now and I have continued on with the calibration and other pre-flight setup steps.
