Guys, fellow drone enthusiasts I need your serious help

Okay I'll be blunt. I'm making a drone, a really good one.

Its carbon fibre, 550mm. a real piece of work.

Now I have put 250 dollars into it and I am broke.

My final piece needed is a gopro.

Now I done some research and I found a great priced one for €200, it has tx and all adapters and mounts.

If anyone could help sharing the link I will post below or even put a few bucks or euro in because y'all know that it adds up and its what I need.

Thanks Guys,

  • Hello Conor,

You seem like a nice young man and I like the design and pictures of your quad. However, with the economy here in such a fragile state I'm afraid that I can only offer you some ideas on raising money to complete your setup. I'm sorry, I really wish that I could send you at least a few dollars to help you out with your project, but being at the same stage of a quadcopter build that you are at, and also broke, let me suggest a few things. First, the GoPro camera is way overpriced as I see it. There are copycats like the SJ4000 that do a very nice job of recording video for 1/2 the price of the GoPro. If you want an all-in-one video recorder and video transmitter for FPV than there is the Boscam TR1 among others available at Hobbyking or Ebay.

Secondly, some of the local businesses in your area may be kind enough to help you out financially in exchange for some nice aerial views of their establishment when your project is complete. Take your machine with you and maybe even fly it for them in their parking lot, people really enjoy watching these things fly, you might get lucky and find some kind hearted folks who will help you out.

I know how heart-wrenching it is to be so close to completing your project with little hope of accomplishing your goal. If all else fails get a job if you can so that you can earn the money you need. Remember, anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Also, remember something I learned a long time ago, wanting is sometimes better than having, do you understand? Good luck and I trust you will be flying WITH your camera shortly. Let us know OK?
