I am using iOS devices (iPad, iPhone), and would like to use APM planner. But for this I need to convert the USB ground radio into network traffic.

Did anybody make a simple solution for this using either a cheap $7 solution like Arduino Nano + ESP8266 connected to the serial output of the radio before the USB<->Serial conversion ?

Or using the more expensive option of a Raspberry Pi with WiFi module ? This option would be easier to make, but much more expensive (but not that expensive).
