I bought a 3dr quad kit last year and everythng goes well, but I would like to ask some questions. Hope you can help me.
I would like to upgrade my quad. I am mounting a 3d gimbal with also a new landing gear. Weight is increasing and I using a default combination (850kv-10X4.7 props). My question is, which motors should I use? maybe I need to use big propellers?
I am a newbie in this world and I know here I can find people with a large experience.

the ecalc.ch website helped me some for a ballpark reference. learn to use that and then it might answer your questions much better. many factors play a roll so its not a simple answer. total weight (All up weight = auw) is an essential component to consider. t-motor seem to be a go to higher end manufacturer, sunnysky i hear alot, avroto, tarot, cobra, etc. the iris v1.0 came with 850kv and were later replaced with t-motor 950kv (same size props) i think so that may help. good luck.
