QGroundControl with Ardupilot 2.7.x?

Hi, wondering if anyone has gotten QGroundControl to work with recent versions of the APM.

I am able to connect, and it works for getting / setting waypoints, and it seems to put the copter in the right place on the map initially. However, the artificial horizon does not work and it seems like no attitude etc. data is making it to the GCS. My Communications Console has lots of:

(MAV 001:1) Param by index not supported

(MAV 001:1) Param by index not supported

...

and the terminal from which I run QGroundControl has:

INVALID DATA TYPE USED AS PARAMETER VALUE:  4
INVALID DATA TYPE USED AS PARAMETER VALUE:  2
INVALID DATA TYPE USED AS PARAMETER VALUE:  2
INVALID DATA TYPE USED AS PARAMETER VALUE:  4
INVALID DATA TYPE USED AS PARAMETER VALUE:  4

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Aaron

  • So, the solution to this turned out to be that you need to set the stream rates in QGC using the "Onboard Parameters" widget. They are 0 by default, so no data is sent. The parameter errors seem to be insignificant.
