Quad Copter-Ground Station Case

Ok, I now have my 3d Robotics quad, telemetry, OSD/FPV, etc.

I would like to have a hard case to carry my quad in and another to put laptop in with all the pripherals, so when I get onsite I will have limited assembly to make ready for flight.

I am not seeing cases big enough or deep enough for the quad with the camera mount extend legs, I could make one, but thought surely others have been there and have good suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

  • I like that kit but I wish it had more reviews.

  • I like this one

    • That looks good for the ground station, still can't find a box for the 3d robotics quad with extend legs, at least not at a price I can bear.

  • Hi Tom,

I've got a safe case from my local hardware store for only $60AUD (at the time) (http://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-20-5-safe-case_p5810184) which fits my laptop, batteries, props, transmitter, telemetry, glasses, binoculars, video tx/rx, and a few cables. I had to cut the foam myself which took a while but in the end it means I never forget anything at home (eg the transmitter) which really makes the investment worthwhile. I'll take a pic if you like :)

I have a hexacopter and I have not seen any safe cases which is able to fit the hex but luckily the arms fold up making it a little be easier to transport. I'd still like to come across a big enough safe case though.

    • What about one of those giant toolboxes you can find at Home Depot or Lowes? Or maybe something from Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, etc.  Instead of thinking "a big box for fancy stuff" (pelican, etc), think just "a big box for stuff".

      • Yeah, I've been looking, just have not found the one...at the price...if you know what I mean.
