Hello,
I am trying to make RPi quadcopter without arduino. Priority of this quadcopter would be to me and my friends make GoPro videos with GoPro camera attached on it. I have access to the 3d printer so i can print my own parts.
So i have few questions
So is it possible to control quadcopter motors with this only: Adafruit 16-Channel 12-bit PWM/Servo Driver - I2C interface?
Is it possible to use HDD motors as motors for quadcopter?
And is it possible to put on raspberry MPU-6050 over Adafruit 16-Channel 12-bit PWM/Servo Driver - I2C interface?
What do i need to buy more?
Please keep in mind i have student budget only :D
I will be grateful for any answer, thank You!

I had the same idea, but I don't have time to work on it :(
To add to the sensors, I would add GPS, and barometer as a must. Optionally I would also add optical flow sensor, and ultrasonic sensor.
It would be nice if you can integrate (develop) a PCB board with all sensors into one PCB (similar to Navio+, but cheaper)
Also, you can add to that a WiFi transmitter, to send the video in HD quality, see this:

Hello Neven,
I think that Navio+ is what you are looking for.
