Throttle failsafe not working

Hello,

i was having a good time playing around with the mission planner and learning how to give commands and get the right results. Well i decided to try out the fail safe return to home feature by pressing the bind button on my transmitter while flying ( turns out no the best decision haha ) anyway the plane let off the throttle at that point and i was not fast enough to recover. I have the throttle fail safe setup in the apm to the stock 950ms and when i switch off my transmitter it goes to 943ms, being a newbie to this i figured it was set correctly and i would have no problem if i lost signal. Are there any other settings i am missing to make the return to home work?

I just checked this in the simulation, flight gear was the only one i can get to work. When i am in auto mode and switch off the tx it goes into manual mode. When i am in manual, stabilize or fbw-a and turn off the tx it goes into circle mode, why is it not going to rth mode? any help is appreciated

  • just going through my setup on the mission planner and when i bound the radio to the rx using the lowest throttle ( 929ms ) i also had the flight mode switch in manual mode. Do i need to bind it in stabilize or auto mode for the rth to work properly? or do i need the rth setting on my mode switch and make sure its active when i bind, as well as having the throttle below 950ms.
