I was hoping someone might be able to advise on how to overcome this problem. Issue unable to connect to APM after trying to set up OSD.
I was trying to set-up comms to an OSD on the Telem port. I encountered trouble and the APM reset. After the reset I was unable to connect to the APM via usb using the MP.
I still see the usb device in the device manager. When I open the CLI window I see the RX light flash but am unable to change settings.
I also tried using arduino API and Atmel Flip and was also unable to connect.
I tried connecting to I/O com1 port on an old laptop using a serial cable (just using pins 2, 3 & 5 connecting to UART 0 & 2) but had no joy with that either, I then tried using QgroundControl but again only saw RX flash once when trying to connect.
Does anyone have any ideas or think it would be possible to connect to one of the other UART ports via a usb to 232 converter (will have to buy) or is it likely I have irrevocably damaged the board somehow.
Any guidance or trouble shooting tips would be greatly-greatly appreciated.
Hopefully I will be able to expand this topic and it will become a useful reference to other users interested in details around the various UART ports. It should prove a useful reference for those trying to connect Beagle Bone', Raspberry PI or other serial equipment.
