Hi guys I recently got back to flying after the birth of my boy. So while he is sleeping and pooping I want to get out and fly more and understand whats going on with my quad. A couple of days ago I got out in the yard and did a little flying around trying to become more comfortable with the controls and to have logs to look over. I could search for days trying to find the happy medium for values so I figured I would ask the people who know them best. I do want to upgrade to 3.0 but I want only after I tackle any glaring issues like vibration and interference. Attached is my tlog, can someone assist with what I should be focusing my attention on. Overall it was a good flight, I know I have some drifting issues and throttle response doesn't get me a good hover (which can be fixed with radio curves). I'm open to any and all suggestions, thanks.

Hi Dave, seems like your magnetic interference level is high. Compass offsets do not converge and we can see an unstable mag field correlated with battery current.
Compassmot calibration could solve the problem, or your could try to rise your APM and / or cleanup power distribution for a cleaner and more reliable compass heading.
This Wiki page could help you too with some useful technical background about magnetic fields :

The vibration level seems a bit high in the Z axis. See the Wiki for vibration damping. After watching your frame design, the (plastic ?) arms rigidity is smaller in the Z axis. Perhaps you could upgrade that using some length of carbon tubes glued and collar clamped on each arm to enhance rigidity.

And read this thread from the start preferably when your boy is sleeping, you should definitely find many useful informations in it for 3.0 upgrade.
Be careful version 3.0 is very addictive...
Happy flying,
Olivier
