i'm looking into buying a PixHawk controller , but I need some info.

What is the latest Software Version is there for the PixHawk ?

I understand that the Software can be updated ?

Pixhawk is good, just make sure you get all the cables to connect it. The receiver has to output ppm sum or get a ppm encoder.

Mission planner will give you an option to update the pixhawk firmware once its ready for release.

Arducopter 3.2 is the most recent release. Yes, when a new version of the firmware is released, you can update the PixHawk.
