What mavlink command is best for controlling a quadcopter

Hi everyone,

Im trying to find out which of the mavlink commands are the best for controlling an Arduino 3.1 quadcopter indoors, I have found the RC_CHANNELS_OVERIDE but it can be affected by which transmitter you are using and my program will need to be robust as it will be used for many different quadcopters. Usman Qayyum used set_roll_pitch_yaw_thrust_send however i believe that it requires changing the onboard code which i would prefer not to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
