Good morning everyone!
I'm new here and I thank you for adding me.

I'm doing a job for an exam at my university and I wanted to ask you a favor.
Not having a drone of my own, and not being able to find around, I would need (if possible) the raw data on which to perform the calculations. My goal is to identify the areas which include cereals, corn and bare ground. I've searched in the forum but I cannot find anything of useful.

So I wanted to ask if someone could pass me those images (in high quality) version raw (taken from the drone), or directly the ortomosaic image. The only important thing is that the terrain has both cultivated fields ( cereals, corn, etc.) and uncultivated fields and it is of high quality, that is taken from a drone flying at low altitude.

Thank you in advance for patience!!

  • If you're still looking for imagery I have several RAW / JPEG data sets from this summer that you could experiement with. But they are a few GB each, so if you can send me a PM, I can send you a DropBox Link to download them, this was taken using a Sony NEX5N;

    Best Regards,

    Keith,

    • That's phenomenal!  I tried to PM you, but I don't think I've had my PM ability enabled yet...perhaps not a big enough deal. :)

We're looking at getting a grant for a commercial solution, which I know, is not as much fun. :) I want to prove what Open Source can really do. You guys are amazing pioneers!

    • Hi Bryan,

I sent you a friend request, as you have to be "friends" before a PM will work (I believe)? or you can email me directly Keith.Geary@ll-eo.com

The map is also viewable online at MapsMadeEasy Hilton of Fern

I created this map using two flights, from the same location, see if you can spot my red Land Rover.

      Cheers,

      Keith,

  • I also might be able to get u raw images with a canon sx260. Wondering what kind of study u are doing? In my area we have some leaf blight show up in different varieties that might throw things off
    • Hi!
All the material that can be recovered is very welcome!
My project is about the identification of the different areas in the country, for example: grass, fields, roads, etc.
The idea is to continue with even more complex elaboration, for example, detection of particular diseases, etc.. Anything that can help agriculture in general.

If you have a precise topic, maybe I can take a look!
      Thanks!

    • If you are still looking for images, please take a look at grafsys.com or my profile here. I can provide you the stitched images there, or raw images. Mostly corn, some wheat & pasture, some with near infrared. I would like to learn more about your work.

      Knut

  • My orthomosaic images are in TIFF format (20/28 Mb), I have also single raw images take with canon sx260 at 35m and 65m altitude with filter NGB in corn experimental field. Contact me if you are interesting.

    • Hi Antonio!
Yes, it would be very useful, both: orthomosaic images and those single raw images in NGB (or RGB).
      Thanks!

  • Hi Michele,

What size of area would You need? RGB or NIR?
