Hi All,
Tridge recommended that I look into an Android Tablet to take to the field with me instead of lugging my laptop out to collect testing data and make parameter changes. So I chose a Samsung Galazy Tablet 2 that was on the approved tablet list.
We are presently hoping to help the Andropilot developers build an ArduRover2 version of the Andropilot to use in the field. Is this possible?

I feel this may be early, perhaps down the line somewhere. Is there any way(app) that would allow us to review/graph our logs on Android?
Waiting patiently for parts.
Hi All,
I finally got the time to download and install the Ardupilot app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet.
The app installation could not have been easier.
Before I started the app, I plugged in my 3DR telemetry radio to the tablet through the Samsung USB to tablet adapter.
The Andropilot immediately found the telemetry radio and began communication with the rover telemetry radio.
I must say that this is a very slick app and meets all of the requirements of providing an easy to use version of the MP in the field.
Congratulations gentlemen, nice work!

Hi All,
Those members who are using the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet with Andropilot and the 3DR 915MHz telemetry radios, I have a connection question for you.
I have the Samsung tablet to USB adapter and its instruction say to plug in the USB device (telemetry radio) to the adapter, boot up the tablet, then plug the adapter into the tablet. Is this the correct process for getting the tablet to recognize the 3DR telemetry radio?

Hi All,
The Samsung Galaxy Tablet 2 10.1 appears to use a different USB OTG adapter than the phones: http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-p7500-Female-Adapter-Dongle/dp/B005UIM...
Instead of the micro USB connector on the Tablet end there appears to be a 30 pin connector. Is this the correct USB OTG cable for the Tablet 2 10.1?

Hi Thomas, it should have basic rover support already (proper mode decoding etc). However if be happy to quickly add whatever else you want. Rovers are cool. :-)
