How to use 'TAKEOFF' mode

Hi all,

I still new in arduplane.

During setup in mission planner, I found 'TAKEOFF' mode.

Did somebody know how it function? Did somebody try it?

As I know, auto takeoff can be use in 'AUTO' mode only.

Hope somebody can advise.

  • Still no one has any answers as to how to use the TAKEOFF Flight Mode?!

  • Set takeoff as your 1st waypoint command. Set the minimum pitch angle, I use 10 degrees. If you have no airspeed sensor then use a higher number like 20 degrees since it sets your actual pitch angle, not minimum. Set an altitude. As soon as you switch to auto mode the throttle will spin up to your max throttle parameter setting, even with the throttle stick down, of radio throttle lock on. Launch the plane and it will hold it's launch heading until reaching the takeoff altitude, then automatically sequence to the next waypoint.
Next time you launch you need to set it up again because the takeoff command gets skipped in subsequent flights.
