2nd Successful Y6 Flight, RTH and questions....?

I have a few questions regarding the Mission planner and flight modes.

1. If I set 3 modes for my radio to use can I still command all the other modes using a ground station or tablet?

2. What RTL settings are you guys using for timing?  How long before decent, etc.

  • I have had limited experience with the ground station plus RC control, but in this instance the "fly to here" command from GS worked in guided and loiter on the RC controller, so it's as if the GS overrides RC, at least in this circumstance.  

    I have used RTL a ton, nearly every flight.  I set the WP vertical speed at 1m/s, final descent at 50cm/sec, and the pause for 3 seconds.  It's never a surprise when the copter returns, so not much pause is needed to "alert" people, in my opinion.
