ESC Calibration: esc command not found in SETUP

Hello

http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2_ESC?wl=pt-BR

1) Auto ESC calibration

This method works once you have all the ESCs connected to the power distribution board and have connected all your RC cables as instructed earlier in the manual.

For this portion of the setup, you'll have to switch to the Terminal, which can be found in the Mission Planner drop-down menu. The APM slider switch should still be in the CLI position--towards the RC pins.

Safety first - Remove props!

  1. In the CLI, enter Setup Menu, type "esc"

I PUSHED THE SWITCH ON APM BOARD TOWARDS THE RC PINS, WHILE THE LIPO WAS PLUGGED AND THE DX8 (TRANSMITTER ON),THEN PLUGGED THE USB and RAN MISSION PLANNER AND CONNECTED OVER THE COM PORT.

THEN WENT INTO THE TERMINAL. TYPED SETUP and there is no command "esc".

Did I forget a step?

That's no longer supported in ArduCopter 2.1 (it didn't work reliably with all ESCs).  The mention you found is in an outdated Portuguese translation of the manual. How did you get there????

The English manual, which correctly describes the current software, is here.
