First Quad having issues with my power system

I have my quad put together and a couple of folks suggested some changes in my wiring scheme to eliminate the possibility of harming the APM.

The comment that I had been following can be found here as well as the post following it.  I have removed all but one + lead from the ESCs but now the APM will not power up.  I double checked to ensure that the one ESC servo connecter connected to the output of the APM has 5v.  It does.  I double checked to ensure that the grounds are all connected to the distro ground and they seem to be.

The advice that I was given makes sense to me but, prior to me removing the +5 volt leads from the output connectors the APM would fire up,  I don't want to damage my APM, but I'm not sure what else to do.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem could be.

  • @Ben,

I took it all apart today to check voltages.  Everything checked out.  I put it back together and it seems to be working fine now.  Thanks for all your help.
