Mission Planner - no maps

I have installed MP after a clean install of Windows 7. I upgraded MP to the latest version.I get no maps. They are unavailable for this zoom level and the remote server gives a 404 error. I have added an exception to the firewall and even tried to turn it off completely with no change. It all worked perfectly before I wiped the drive an re-installed Windows. What to do?Thanks.

  • I upgraded to 1.3.26 today. It will not write a waypoint file to the flight simulator
  • I upgraded from 1.3.25 to Beta 1.3.25.3 and got my Google maps back.

I also pressed "Help" and "Check for BETA updates" and it found it.
    • oh :o in help ........... thank you!
how is you experience with the beta version? is it stable
      an reliable enough?

  • Bing maps work although in my area the Google maps are better. I'll upgrade to the beta version today. Thanks for all of the help. I really appreciate it.

    • Cool :) so it works again.

I'm now looking for that beta version too, but could not find the download location because I'm always redirected to the permanent link to the latest version - which I already have  - with the 404 and zoom issues.

Could you please write me where you found the beta version ? Thank you

  • I installed the new/beta release and its sorted in this version. The version I have is 1.3.25.3. You can update from the Help screen by clicking 'Check for Beta Updates'.

  • Hi, I had the same issue when moving to a new HDD.

Zoom in and out, repeat in a row. If that does nothelp, than use BING (sat) Maps. They're cleaner too :)
