Tarot 2D gimbal Issue

Since there's no gimbal support group, I'm asking here.

I'm having an issue. Please see the video. If I tilt the gimbal negative, it returns ok. If I tilt it positive (as in forward pitch of the copter), it seems to get confused.

Any advice?

  • Best thread out there is the one at RCGroups Try to source some info there.

Problem with swapping out to a standard sized BGC, like the BaseCam/Alexmos or other, is the form factor of the Tarot 2D's mounting platform, but it might be done, and then you should definitely go to the STorM32 also out of RCGroups where the chap who designed it hosts the complete support for it there. It is by far the best value/performance for your money, and arguably one of the most active threads with regular updates and has a decent GUI. All is explained there.

  • This is a new control board. I hope it isn't bad. If it is I'll get a different gimbal. No more Tarot.
  • Have had the same issue. I reflashed the Firmware, calibrated the gimbal without any success. Then i exchanged the hardware step by step. The issue was solved after exchanging the controlboard
