With a little helps of my friends

Hi everybody,

I'am trying to setup an arducopter from Arducopter FC 2.8 The package cames  with a nice external GPS and I am trying to use an Ifly fram, using a solid frame intended to use with Ifly FC V4M. I am using the same motors and ESC (PPM operated / not I2C) from Ideafly.

My problem appears when the drone tries to take off: The motor revolutions does not provide enough power to fly.

Is the any suggestions from you to help me?

Thanks and best regards

daniel

  • Hi Daniel

I'm also flying an iDeaFly 4S frame as I like it's flexibility...A bit on the heavy side but....See attached

I ditched the iDF Fcontroller and the stupid dedicated Escs, and use a Pixhawk with Afro 30A Escs now, with SuunySky 980Kv motors. Works well.

I suspect the Esc's are your problem....Maybe you should try swapping them?

    • Thanks for your suggestion...In fact I was talking with others Arducopter users and it appears the solution: In Mission Planner / Advanced Parameters you can find a variable named Throttle_Max or something like that.

The values for this variable are 100 to 1000. In my case the value was 220, diplayed in orange!

I change the value to 800 and the drone begins to fly without problems...

      Thanks for you assistance David
