i am newbie to ardurover, and want to build an ardurover from scratch with brush motor. does the APM 2.6 can directly control brush ESC, if not, what is the modification should i made to apm.

my brushed esc getting hot when connected with ardupilot board, but is working well with a chinese servo tester, motor spins both sides and stops also with the servo tester and no heating also, what can be the problem?

First off we need some information about your setup:
1) What navigation controller are you using?
2) What is the firmware version?
3) What is the make and model of your ESC?

Yes, the APM2.6 can control the throttle on an ESC designed for brushed motors without any modifications.
I used an APM with brushed ESCs on my 4WD Slash rovers until I switched to brushless motors and ESCs.
