  • Ok, I built a windows 8 system and the drivers do not load without turning driver signing off. Option 7 on the restart windows menu under advanced options.

You will also need to uninstall Mission Planner and reinstall to get the drivers to install correctly.  Then everything should work.

Drivers are signed by Michael but windows does not trust him.....

  • What operating system are you using.  The port sometimes does not show up for a while.

The error message you showed is for Mission Planner trying to download the Firmware from the internet site.  You most open a port on your firewall to allow Mission Planner access or stop your virus software when loading firmware.

when I turn off the firewall the MS display the same message

the problem is that it does not recognize the COM port.

    Hi Taj,

If it's just firmware that you want to flash on the vehicle, you can find the directions at the 2:50 mark.  Instead of plugging the USB into the Pixhawk, you can plug the USB into the USB port on the IRIS+ and proceed the same way.

But here's a video on how to connect to Mission Planner as well:  *the caveat is that you will need to set the BAUD rate to 115200 instead of 57500 like it says in the video.

    • Thanks for the reply.

My issue is that I don't see COM or USB option on Mission Planner software.

I see only Auto, TCP & UDP. I tried auto but didn't connect.

      I also tried re-installing MP.
