Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
Started with a Parrot AR Drone, but got tired of lack of support for Android and Parrot's generel unwillingness to admit/solve problems etc. I have now (oktober 12) switched to: Arducopter Quad 1.0 ArduPilot Mega 2.5 with uBlox GPS Spektrum DX8 Radio FPV will be next, but for now just some flying and SW "checkout". Until now I'm very impressed.

I have seen some problems with loiter on RC4.
I use it on a Arducopter Quad 1.0 frame with "standard" motors and in this case a 2200mAh 3cell battery.

The baudrate on the APM is set to 57600 (not 115200). What did confuse me was that I could get some correct data both ways even when the Xbee were at 115200 (I have not figured out why?)

I think Bop is right. My worst crash until now was actually caused by a misunderstanding of RTL. My quad was so long out on a windy day that I would use RTL to bring it home, but I did it with low throttle so it just dived into some trees.
