I am a field biologist specializing in Forest Botany, Canopy Biology, and arboreal wildife biology. I am the sole proprietor of Ellyson Field Science LLC since 2004 offering consulting services in the form of filed data collection. I live in Southern Oregon (Medford).
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I am looking to expand business opportunities with the use of drones. I would like to use my forestry expertise to help develop forest monitoring with the use of drones. Since such technology is a ways off, I intend to gradually gain drone experience and keep an open mind as to the many possible ways to generate income in this most interesting area of commerce.

"Without a doubt, people who do stunts like the 420 flyover are not helping public perception of drones/ UAVs. As a community of enthusiasts, we need to strongly reject such pilots else we face a severe backlash/setback if and when people get hurt."
