About Me:

Just getting into the RC scene and really interested in UAV. I'm a electronics tech (not engineer), have my commercial heli licence and trying to get my fixed wing as well.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

My interest started when i came accross the "Outback Challenge" competition. Just starting FPV and learning how to reach beyond the horizon :)

"I initially had problems wit the bullet connectors. Seems far away from the issue you seem to have however once hard wired together, I have had no problems with the stability (no more uncommanded death rolls!) I also mounted the boards between two…"

"Make sure that only the green led is blinking slowly. having any other led on or blinking may mean you are in alt hold mode and that is a bad thing if on the ground. The configurator is good for diagnosing what channels are active. Too bad you dont…"

"On another tangent, as quads use low KV motors for better control resolution, would longer arms (moment) be better for high KV ducted fans? That is put them out further?"

"Just check one esc and motor WITH prop with the receiver. Let it get to some load/ temp. This is how I found almost all of my "loading" failures. I fried a motor recently when I tried to upload with the motors connected so bought a new one. Forgot…"

"How about a simple approach to fix the yaw? Use a brushless motor and prop with a gyro like fixed pitch a tail rotor."

"I just had the same frigging thing happen! I did not resolder a new motor's bullet connectors. Almost all of the bullet connectors that I received from Fah Pah have been supplied with physically solid solder joints but fail after some time. They…"
