Don Cramer commented on Trent at MyGeekShow's blog post Scratch Built Wing on GeekStar
"I think you should try cutting some ailerons into that wing:) I'm betting your performance will benefit from that mod big time."

Don Cramer commented on Vincent Mees's blog post Arducopter with Xaircraft X650 value frame
"Great looking clean build! RE the switch. I would change that out or better totally dump it now before you even fly it. Even at hover it will likely pull 15-20amps or so."

Don Cramer commented on Paul's blog post Video quadricopter GAUI GU-500X with INS and camera
"Awfully shaky video for a camera on a gimbal. Nice copter though:)"

Don Cramer commented on AndrewF's blog post Arducopter Tethered Tests
"Tethering IMO is a useless practice for setting up any rotor craft. They just do not like it and its really hard to determine even if there is really a problem or the way it behaves is from being tethered.

It is more useful to hold on to the…"

Don Cramer commented on Jose Angel's blog post Arducopter PID tunning howto video
"PID Tuning has always been tougher for me.  The method shown in these videos looked promising (You can read it a 100 times but sometimes it helps to see). Tuning acro mode then on to stabilize.

For myself acro mode was best at around Rate P…"

Don Cramer replied to Ray Rodrick's discussion All propellers rotating same way... Can I angle all motors or just one???
"The counter rotating props are required on a quad not only to counter the engine torque but also allow you to yaw/turn the copter as well. You could manually rotate one or all of them enough to counter torque but you will not be able to yaw/turn.…"

They are only 420 line cams but they are not to bad.

Most of the 480/520/540 cams at readymaderc very good as well, i have a few of these and prefer…"

Don Cramer replied to Al Ros's discussion Quad frame size and inherent stability
"Generally speaking normally the larger the mutlicopter the more stable it will perform but i have seen smaller multicopters perform very well and stable as well.
I guess it would depend on what your intended use would be. If it is for video/fpv…"

Don Cramer replied to nubli hashim's discussion trouble with quad X on 2.0.47 in ArduCopter User Group
"Whats the C rating on your lipo. If the battery is getting that hot and the connector hot enough to melt anything you are surely pulling way more amperage than the setup allows. With that much pitch on a 3 bladed prop and 6 motors i bet it is…"

Don Cramer commented on jpknobel's blog post Homemade Hexacopter Powered by Arducopter
"What kind of props are you planning on running on this? KV being twice what we normally run on multirotors  it seems you will have to prop it differently (less pitch).

Excellent looking built!"

Don Cramer posted a discussion
It seems that with each revision the default PID's seem to change. My question is are those PID changes because we found a better match or the testing airframe (assuming default arducopter airframe) or are their actual code changes that require…
