About Me:

I am a 48 year old male, with a passion for aviation in general. I worked on fixed and rotory winged aircraft for 19 years, before exchanging my spanners for a computer. I am currently employed as a Mechanical Technician, by a firm called Epsilon Engineering in Centurion. Most of my work is CAD related and I specialize in concept design. Epsilon Engineering manufactures small and medium sized UAV's,as well as other aviation related components. We are currently designing a manned turbine powered helicopter for an overseas client. I fly model helicopters and aeroplanes whenever I can find the time and I love micro turbojet engines, archery, reading and good music. I tried fly-fishing but I have not had any luck so far...

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I have had a passion for UAV's since I started flying model aeroplanes. The idea of being able to send an unmanned aerial vehicle on a predetermined course, to gather video footage or data and being able to safely retrieve it again, interests me to no end. I am truly passionate about aerial activity of any kind, but UAV's top them all for me.
