About

About Me:

If building and flying UAV's was considered a drug, then I guess I'll admit that I'm addicted. I currently fly a modified great planes Slinger with Attopilot V2 and xbee radio for 2 way comms with GCS.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I am very fond of the simple RQ-11 raven type of design. High wing with a pusher prop. I have built many different styles of airframes and have found pushers allow you to make the most out of available payload space. I will say that flying wings are also very efficient and work well as sUAS platforms also.

"also I forgot to mention, the pico pilot is pretty much plug and play...takes a little tweaking to get it just right but once its dialed in it does a pretty good job. I have had it in airplanes ranging from home built to gas and it worked fine. just…"

"Hi Paul, I was in Iraq in 2003 and was all over the place, most notably Taji, Speicher, and Anaconda... I was there before they were considered "FOB's" so to speak. Its good to see someone share the same Idea as me."
