Working with the industry leader for electronics design software enables me to work closely with the big guys in the mil/aero/defense and UAV market. Studies and direct engagements with these customers brought me ever closer to the hobby, which I now plan to expand

"Download Tower 4.1 go to settings 》modes 》single / family / divorced and switch to family mode. that should take care of it. I realized that Iris is usually set to single mode and the only way I could change it was using Tower 4.1"

yes that tablet usually has a much longer battery life than the bird. But with GPS on and the radio draining from the USB port, I am always on the safe side and have either my car USB charger connected or my battery pack in the backpack…"

"I would add the gimbal if not attached, the camera (gopro or so) with housing
Possibly a space for a power-pack for the tablet,  USB cables, extra batteries for the TX,  if your charger is 12v in then the power supply"

"I guess you do not. But I did anyway as I reloaded default parameters and I wanted to be on the safe side.
Re-doing it should not lead to an unresponsive radio."

The batteries in the TX are the original ones and have been operating for less than a couple of hrs.on the battery tester they are still showing good. But I will make sure that I replace them.
