Keith Callaghan replied to Mike J's discussion Tarot gimbal config
"For tilt function, bypass the Pixhawk/APM all together.  Go direct from gimbal board to the channel 6 on spectrum receiver.  Make sure you connect ground as well.  Then thru mission planner, turn off gimbal stabilization all together."

Keith Callaghan replied to Keith Callaghan's discussion With bad GPS/HDOP do you need to turn off Fence breach failsafe??
"Okay, part one answered.  Flying in STAB mode due to poor GPS, turn fence enabled off.
But do not understand why it did not go up to 20m RTL height and then start flying to "home".  If it had, I could have switched out and back to STAB to save it.…"

Keith Callaghan commented on Adrián Nagy Hinst's blog post 3D printed tricopter - from CAD to reality!
"Have seen others try to make parts that should be moulded by using 3D printing instead.  Be aware, I think you will find the 3D parts fracture quite easily compared to moulded.

I have had three major crashes that are all related to mechanical failures. 2 times, prop flying off. Addressed that by buying new motors/mounts fixed in place.  Now today had a prop snap 30m up.  With a quad, it is lights out, big crash coming.…

Keith Callaghan replied to Keith Callaghan's discussion Big Crash today - what happened
"My best guess based on log data and visual evidence is that the blade snapped.  This caused the motor to run up full.  This in turn with the now greatly unbalanced prop caused massive vibration resulting in the aluminium arm snapping in two."
