my first H frame octo build

i am using APM , along with 2 qbrain 4n1 esc's .i have the esc motors & power soldered and connected .that's done . im am at the point of , tuning the esc's . but next is the wiring ... i need help with connecting the two esc's to the FC? does

Learner mode

i have the Iris + .... i was told the the controller the fs_th9x has a lerner mode . when this is active i can have a friend use a separate fs-th9x that's connected to my Master controller . from the port on the back ... please help thanks
