About Me:
Drone enthusiast, I am flying a modified ArduPlane Frimware on a APM 2.5 which uses a optimized glidepath to save energy and therefore cover huge distances with very little battery power.
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
My current project is to enable a glider to center in a thermal autonomously and preserve electric power in order to cover eventually massive distances with a LiPo 11.7 Volt 1800 mAh Battery. The current record is a bit over 30 km !

After many flights with my DIY frame consisting of 3DR Electronics stack and Landings legs, all the other parts are homemade form aluminium, i thought it's about time to launch from my balcony and take a spin down to the lake... How easy was that...
