About Me:

I am an avid outdoorsman, and a closet nerd. I have worked with electronic communications equipment since the 1980s. I am also a Treasure Hunter. THAT is why I am here.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

One part of treasure hunting is identifying man made markings or symbols that lead to trails/water/treasure. Many times those markings were placed high on cliffs. Using a small FPV Drone will allow me close-up viewing without rappelling or climbing cliff faces.

"Thanks for the tips. Both PD's had new transmitters. I sold one for $50 and recouped most of the cost of the entire drone. HAHAHA
The landing gear design seemed kind of obvious to me, but there is a bit of weight added. I just used the two ears that…"

"Thanks for that. I see a couple that pop up on Ebay and Craigs List every once in a while, but it looks like they are mostly trying to recoup their Kickstarter Investment, as most are asking $500. Anything under $100 I will usually grab if I can…"

"Last question first. Still pretty new at flying. I started with a little MJX X901 (Hex). Stepped up to an MJX X600 (Hex) when I got better. I also had a Dromida Kodo that was great, but no FPV and high winds beat it up badly. I had always intended…"

"Thanks for that.

Maybe I should have also posted what my intended use for this is;

I am a Treasure Hunter. Part of that involves climbing around desert mountain ranges looking for man made markers cut into the host rock on cliff faces and high up…"

Hey All,Just picked up a new PD for $99 plus shipping (NIB). Even if crap, I already ordered a Hobby King Trifecta  Frame in case. My question is, what are the specs for the motors? The Trifecta calls for 2206-2150Kv motors. Is the PD the…
