About Me:
I am Pawan Rao from Team Edhitha India. EDHITHA is a team of multidisciplinary engineering students from M S Ramaiah Institute Of Technology Bangalore working on development of tactical Unmanned Air Systems (UAS) for real time search and reconnaissance missions. We at Edhitha are determined and focused to destine our knowledge, learning and experience into deeper space for development of unmanned systems Team Edhitha has been into the development of UAV’s since the year 2011. The team was conceived in order to compete in the Students Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, SUAS held by the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International. The competition is held at the Patuxent River Naval Airbase, Maryland, United States. Am the present team Captain for Edhitah 2015 / SUAS 2015.
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
My interest greatly is inclined towards Fixed Wing UAVs with on-hand experience with integration on APM 2.5 /2.6 and PIXHAWK on Delta-Wing, V-Tail UAV platforms. Have been successful in going auto on Electric, Nitro and Gas platforms and have incorporated PiXHAWK on custom built plane ( 2.6 meter, twin boom, A- Tail with Gas engine )

I have been having a strange problem with altitude sensing on pixhawk. Today I tried going auto on FX79 buffalo, when the plane just wanted to come down nose diving. I had set waypoint altitude as 100m, yet it was acting weird.So, I came back home…

My system uses a NIKON D3100 for still Imagery. I was planning to deploy a Gimbal for off - center targets and instances when the drone rolls.Any Suggestions from ready available Gimbals?Also which one of SERVO / BRUSHLESS drives will be preferred…
